Colophon

The text of our printed volumes is set in EB Garamond, a digital revival by Georg Duffner of Claude Garamont's sixteenth-century romans, with italics after Robert Granjon. The type is set at eleven on fourteen points, with old-style figures and true small capitals.

The trim is five and a half by eight and a half inches, in the English Demi-octavo tradition. The type-block is set with the inner margin slightly wider than the outer, as is appropriate to a sewn binding, and the bottom margin generous to make room for folios and footnotes. The page is composed in Peter Wilson's memoir class for the LaTeX typesetting system, with Microtype protrusion and hanging punctuation.

Display lines, including chapter heads and running heads, are set in Cormorant Garamond small capitals, a contemporary revival related to EB Garamond and drawn by Christian Thalmann.

This website is built with Astro and hosted as a static site. Body text on screen is set in EB Garamond, served from Google Fonts; display headings are Cormorant Garamond at small-capital style. The page colour is a warm off-white intended to recall an uncoated cream stock; the accent colour an oxblood drawn from cloth-bound nineteenth-century devotional books.

The press's printed editions are produced on cream archival paper, Smyth-sewn in signatures of sixteen pages, and bound in cloth-covered boards with foil-stamped spine titles. Our printers are listed by name on each book's copyright page.

Soli Deo Gloria.
